Health & Safety

We always ensure the health and safety for all face paint participants and artists.

Please read on to learn about how to work with us to maintain a safe space for everyone involved.

The client is responsible for providing a safe workplace, at all times.

Our artists: 

  • ​reserve the right to refuse to paint any person who displays signs of illness, including, cold/flu symptoms, cold sores, conjunctivitis, chicken pox, lice, rashes, acne, open sores & skin conditions.

  • use high quality, professional grade face paint, designed & manufactured for use on the face & body.

  • are registered to work with vulnerable people & will carry a current WWVP card.

  • have public liability insurance & will supply an up to date Certificate of Currency on request.

  • MUST be provided with a safe & sheltered area to paint. If the event is held after dark. Face painters must be provided with adequate lighting. Gazebos & lighting can be provided at extra cost.

  • will only paint people who WANT to be painted.

  • have the right at any time to cease work if they believe their safety is at risk.

IMPORTANT. No child or adult with an allergy will be painted. Face painting carries a risk of allergic reaction. If a client shows any sign of a reaction during painting, the session will be discontinued.

Children:

  • must always be supervised by a responsible adult, especially while waiting to be painted.

  • and their actions, remain the responsibility of their parents or event organisers, at all times.

To remove face paint:

  • Start to gently clean the face with warm water & soap.

  • If the paint is stubborn (some colours will tint the skin more than others), try using a natural oil, such as coconut or olive oil, with a cotton pad.

  • Be careful to avoid scrubbing the skin & being especially gentle around the eyes.
